Artists have incorporated parody and satire to make commentary on politics and current events for many years. Vladimir Putin is known for having highly orchestrated events and photo shoots. During his second term as Prime Minister (2008-2012) he worked hard to portray himself as the ultimate Russian warrior, friend, lover, and man. With this blog I further enhanced the public image I felt he was attempting to communicate to the world.

Tumblr Project, Hairless Hugo

It has been said that the first step to creating an internet meme is to "procure a cat." As luck would have it I have a very handsome sphynx. While we are not necessarily seeking internet fame, I do enjoy sharing photos of the little guy. (Hugo is much to shy to ever have a Lil' Bub style meet and greet.) Recent Japanese studies have shown that looking at photos of cats and other animals may help boost productivity. I like to think we are just sharing and spreading joy. Seriously, it is just a photo of a cat. Sometimes that is all you need. Hugo's tumblr has a modest following of over 1,100 people. The image below has received the most "notes" meaning it has been "liked" or reblogged approximately 20,700 times.

Hugo's Tumblr blog was featured twice, #13 and #21, on BuzzFeed's list 23 Photos That Prove Hairless Cats Are Actually Adorable.

Instagram, Emily_and_Hugo
2013-Present
I was a fool and thought we could share an Instagram. I should have known better. Hugo has over 2,000 followers on Instagram. The account primarily features him but when I have time I feature other sphynx cats as well. These cats have gotten up to 100 new Instagram followers within 24 hours after we feature them.
